About Us We are a family owned and managed company, established initially as A.Palmer in the 1940's, and becoming a partnership in 1978 under the same trading name. In 1988, we became incorporated under A.Palmer Ltd. Our managing director Ken Palmer was Chairman of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (North-West Region) 2002-2004. We are primarily demolition contractors, but in more recent years have diversified to include major internal strip out, bulk earthworks and land reclamation. We have carried out many contracts in all fields.

Our Employees Our employees have worked with us for many years and all recieve an on-going programme of health and safety training together with specific training relevant to their skills. Operatives are encouraged to work towards additional qualifications wherever possible. The Company is an active member of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors and the North West Safety Group, all training is in conjunction with these bodies and the Construction Industry Training Board.

Premises

The offices are based in Salford with our own fully fitted garage and yard site adjacent to the premises. We also own a two acre site within the Salford borders. There has been a major financial investment at this site where the recycling and crushing of demolition materials takes place. We own two concrete crushing machines; one static, based in Salford, and the other a mobile, which can be transported as required. Licences are held both with The City of Salford and Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority. We believe that we are pioneering the production and sale of a material that competes well against quarried stone as a fill material.
